      LifeLine Animal Project promotes homeless pet adoption, provides low-cost spay and neuter services, and works with local shelters so that every dog and cat can be guaranteed a good life in a caring environment!

Take a Walk on the Wild Side!

LifeLine’s “Catlanta” program provides help for the stray and feral cats of the city. Catlanta offers assistance to people caring for outdoor cats to get the cats fixed before they reproduce. This widely accepted, humane method of controlling cat populations is called TNR (trap/neuter/return).

“Feral” cats are not tame. They have had no human contact and cannot be tamed as pets. They usually form groups known as feral colonies. “Stray” cats are homeless tame cats who sometimes join these colonies and produce feral offspring. An estimated 30,000 feral cats each year end up in Atlanta's shelters where the only option is euthanasia.  

Catlanta offers a lifesaving solution for these cats and is the only organized TNR program in the area.
